Delay Fuse kit consisting of 100 fuses from T1A- T10A. This super value fuse kit has a total of 100 fuses included over 10 different values. The 20mm x 5mm fuses included in this kit are the most common type of fuse to be fitted to products.
The fuse type is a delay type and is also commonly referred to as an antisurge or slow blow fuse. The fuse value is preceded by a capital T which indicates there is a time lag to failure.
This type of fuse is commonly fitted in the mains input circuit of many electrical appliances where the delay characteristic of the fuse prevents failure due to an inrush current when the mains power is applied. The voltage rating of the fuse is 250VAC.
The voltage rating of a fuse is sometimes a little misunderstood. The rating of 250VAC means that this is the maximum voltage at which the fuse can break without creating an arc between the two ends of the fuse wire. In other words the fuse will fail in its specified time provided no more than 250VAC is applied between the end caps.
The rating of this fuse makes it suitable as a replacement mains input fuse in many appliances such as televisions, hifi, dvd players and really anything electrical that is mains operated. The fuses can also be used in applications where the defective fuse has a DC rating as well, up to 250V.
The fuse kit is supplied in a resealable plastic cover and each fuse value is in a resealable small cardboard box.
