This very useful tool is ideal for fitting  twist on type F connectors to coaxial cable.

The tool is supplied from Fixapart and made by Hanlong Tools. The tool reference is HT-224D which is the 3 ended version of the F connector installation tool.

Fitting a twist on connector is generally quite easy though sometimes it can be difficult to get the grip required to screw the connector fully home.
 
This tool simply threads into the connector and allows you to twist the connector more easily onto the cable. Much more purchase is available because of the width of this tool.

The pastic body of this tool is very comfortable in the hand and if you are fitting a number of these connectors then this tool saves wear and tear on your precious hands!
 
This tool has 3 heads each of which has a purpose as follows:
 
  • F Head - for the fitting of screw on F connectors as described
  • 6 Head - for the flaring of RG6 cable to assist the fitting of crimp connectors
  • 59 Head - for the flaring of RG59 cable to assist the fitting of crimp connectors
 
The flaring heads are used to widen the outer sheath of the cable to allow a crimp type connector to be slid onto the cable. If you use crimp connectors then you will wonder how you managed without this gizmo. We use this exact tool for cable preparation in our workshop.
