Panasonic N2QAYB001046, N2QAYB000758 Genuine Netflix DVD Recorder Remote Control

The remote control for my Panasonic DMR-BWT735 video recorder became erratic due to an oily seeming exudate forming between the contacts in the 8 year old remote control, which gunk reformed within 6 months of a very careful clean up. The remote was identified the code N2QAYB000758 moulded into its body just below the catch that releases the battery cover. The Panasonic website says this control has been "superceded" (interestingly chosen word???) by the unit N2QAYB001046 used in subsequent recorders. Buymystuff repeats this story ---- and I am delighted to report that the replacement unit does indeed work perfectly 'straight out of the box', with just a momentary head scratch to find that the Delete button has been shifted one step south-west of where it was before. Full marks to Buymystuff for (i) so clearly re-presenting Panasonics story, (ii) having such an arcane item in stock, and (iii) despatching it so promptly. Well Done !!

Its a good product. It is more expensive than compatible alternative I have bought and had to return but every operation works; whereas, with the cheaper model, the TV control was inoperative. If it is not imperative to be able to control the TV from the recorder remote, that would not be a problem with cheaper alternatives and would save cash. For me, I like to have everything at my fingertips and this model does that. I regret, however, that Panasonic do not include a MUTE button of the recorder remote. That would be really useful.

My original remote had long been causing issues with overuse of the fast forward and play buttons when skipping adverts and every use was a battle. Finally gave in and order this genuine replacement. Quick delivery and fair price. Arrived super quick and worked perfectly straight from the box. Only wish I’d ordered long ago.
