This useful switching box is more commonly being required as TV manufacturers are fitting less and less scart sockets on to modern televisions. If you have a new TV and want to connect your Sky box and a DVD player for example then you may have a problem as only scart socket may be present.

The problem is solved by the use of this Datawrite switching box. Simply connect the scart plug to the scart socket of your television and connect the two scart cables from your devices to the input sockets on the switching box. There is a simple push type A / B switch which allows you to toggle between each of the inputs.

The switch is fitted with a 40cm captive cable which will allow you to site the switch to a convenient location to gain access to the red switch.

The use of a scart switching box like this is the preferred option over constantly swapping the scart cables over. In time the plugs will break or worse still the scart socket on the TV can become damaged leading to an expensive repair.

The switching box is fully wired on all 21 scart pins so can be used with composite, SVHS and RGB connections. Full stereo sound is also supported.

The switching box being a fully wired two way switch can also be used in the reverse direction if required.
