Panasonic microwave inverter pcb suitable for replacing in many Panasonic models.

If you have a Panasonic inverter microwave oven that displays fault codes H95, H97, H98 or H99 then this part may be defective.

The original Panasonic part number is Z606Y6Y40BP but this has been superseded to part number: Y4FFZZ000BP and this is what you will receive.

The list of models that this inverter fits is shown below. In Panasonic inverter ovens it is more difficult to diagnose a defective inverter though in general the primary switching devices fail which will lead to immediate failure of the mains fuse inside the oven at the commencement of the microwave cooking cycle. To confirm this replace the fuse and remove the mains input plug at connector CN702 on the inverter pcb. If the fuse holds next time the microwave cooking cycle commences then the inverter is defective. if the fuse still fails then the fault is elsewhere, though this is a very rare occurrence.

If the cooking cycle stops after around 20 seconds or so then normally the magnetron is at fault.

Please note this inverter pcb should only be purchased by those with skills in re[airing electrical appliances. High voltages are present on this pcb so utmost care should be taken.

When fitting the inverter make sure that it is properly fitted in the housing and the that the inverter earth bracket or cable is securely fixed down. Failure to properly ground the inverter can result in immediate failure of the control panel, inverter board or both at switch on.

    Microwave now fixed - thanks

    Our 8yo built-in Siemens combi microwave/grill/oven failed on microwave (resetting after a couple of seconds) a couple of weeks before Christmas - great timing! Traced to a failed inverter board. Replaced board (also magnetron whilst I had case open) and all working again in time for Christmas - many thanks.
